Welcome!!

Dance In Action Studio (DIAS) established April 2009. Located in Beauly (12 miles from Inverness). Dance students enjoy excellent training facilities including harlequin sprung floor, ballet barres, mirrored walls, reception and changing area.

This highly recommended dance school welcomes students from age three years. Students follow the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) grade syllabus in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern. Contemporary/Lyrical and Commercial dance is offered under BATD Freestyle branch. Students can take grade examination to vocational level. Students who show aptitude can undertake further training/examination to become a registered BATD Teacher. NB BATD is an organisation validated by the Council of Dance Education and Training.

Undertaking grade syllabus work requires approximately between 14 and 18 months of weekly or twice weekly attendance. Consideration is given to students wishing to attend class midway through a grade. Please contact the school to establish the possibility of attendance in such a circumstance. As well as examination opportunity students are expected to perform in our biennial show at Eden Court, Inverness and are encouraged to participate in any workshops/masterclasses available. Students of the school of 13yrs plus who have a very high standard of dance and performance ability may audition (usually yearly) to become a member of our Dance Company and represent the school in a competition and performance capacity .
